While waiting for my train to Hiroshima, I went to the food floor of Kyoto Station's mall, and tried all different kinds of japanese pickles. It was so tasty I almost missed my train.
Now I'm in Hiroshima city. Yesterday, I took a walk in the very lively downtown area. I am staying at the World Friendship Center (http://ha7.seikyou.ne.jp/home/wfc/indexE.html), hosted by a very hospitable american couple (Alan and Vercey Smyth), who are also a great source of information about the city and much more.
I just spent most of theday in the peace museum (go check their website: http://www.pcf.city.hiroshima.jp/peacesite/ ). While walking in the park,I had a nice chat with a Hibakusha (war survivor) who was passing by.
